The largest high school by square footage in the state, built on a flood plain and constructed with the school is situated on top of piers so that in the event of a flood, the water would flow unobstructed, not damaging the structure, nor interrupting the functioning of the school.  The design of the project places flexible classrooms and spaces as the focal point, to be able to adjust to the ever changing educational landscape and to be able to teach up to 2800 kids into the future.
