The science buildings lab areas host sample prep, carbon labs, laser and optics research labs and a planetarium.  Collaborative spaces allow faculty and students from different disciplines to share knowledge.  The design features the building as a living learning tool for students and includes interactive opportunities with technology.  The building features many sustainable design elements and is designed for LEED Gold.
